Google launched Pics, an image creation and editing tool built on its Nano Banana model, reaching Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and most Workspace business customers in the coming weeks. Pics works standalone at pics.new and inside Docs and Slides, and it can isolate a single object for editing, translate text inside an image without disturbing the font, and return several versions of one prompt. Google separately released agentic video understanding on its Gemini 3.7 Flash, 3.6 Flash, and 3.5 Flash-Lite models, which choose which stretches of a clip to process instead of sampling frames at a set interval, cutting token use by up to 88% and costs by up to 66%, the company said. The feature reaches the Gemini app soon and YouTube’s Ask YouTube in the coming months.
