Elementor, the WordPress visual website-builder, is cutting about 100 employees, roughly 30% of its workforce, summoning them to pre-layoff hearings as it shifts to a flatter operational structure, according to Walla Money. CEO and co-founder Yoni Luksenberg told staff the company underestimated the speed of technological disruption and the AI shift, and is refocusing on its core product and user community while preparing for AI agents and the next generation of the web. Elementor, founded in 2016 by Luksenberg and Ariel Klikstein, ran an earlier restructuring in 2022 that cut 50 employees. The move lands about a month after fellow Israeli web-development company Wix laid off roughly 20% of its staff, citing the same need to adapt to AI-based work.
