eBay hired Andres Gonzalez to run global shipping and authentication as VP and GM, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Gonzalez arrives from Walmart, where he spent 16-plus years over two stints and most recently led its supply chain strategy, e-commerce fulfillment, and last mile operations, and before that he handled parcel operations and network strategy at Amazon Global Cross Border for close to four years. He called both areas “must-win priorities” in a LinkedIn post. eBay is leaning on shipping for revenue, which rose double digits YoY in Q2 2026 and turns up in the Q3 outlook as a take-rate contributor next to ads and payments. Since shipping fees count toward reported GMV, higher charges can lift that number without more merchandise changing hands.
