Coupang was sued in a U.S. federal court by investors alleging securities fraud after a cybersecurity breach exposed the personal information of more than 33 million customers. The lawsuit names CEO Bom Kim and CFO Gaurav Anand as defendants, accusing them of overstating data safeguards and failing to timely disclose that a former employee had retained unauthorized access to internal systems. The legal action follows the resignation of subsidiary CEO Park Dae-jun earlier this month as South Korean authorities continue to investigate the incident.
