Commerce unveils platform updates and agentic commerce capabilities for BigCommerce merchants at Commerce Live 2026

Commerce, the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift, announced a slate of product updates at Commerce Live 2026 spanning core platform improvements, B2B tools, payments, and new agentic commerce capabilities. Updates include multi-language support with translation APIs, advanced promotions management, faster checkout that reduced load times by one second, AI-driven purchase order automation for B2B, and expansion of Feedonomics Surface to Microsoft Ads, TikTok, and Pinterest, while new agentic features push merchants' product data onto AI discovery surfaces including ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, PayPal, and Stripe. Sharon Gee, Commerce senior vice president of product for AI, said in the announcement that “commerce as an industry is entering a phase where the distance between discovery and transaction is shrinking rapidly.”
