BigCommerce is renaming its plans and adding an Open Payment Provider fee for non-embedded payment processors starting June 1, 2026

BigCommerce announced plan and pricing updates effective June 1, 2026, renaming its tiers from Standard, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise to Core, Growth, Scale, and Performance respectively, with base pricing unchanged for Core and Growth but a new continuous 0.9% GMV overage rate replacing the fixed per-block charges on the Scale plan. The most significant new change is an Open Payment Provider fee applied to all self-service plans for merchants using payment processors not on BigCommerce's embedded provider list, which includes Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Klarna, Sezzle, Afterpay, and others, with the fee not applying to Performance plan customers operating under contracted terms. BigCommerce is giving merchants 60 days notice and is for the first time allowing merchants to manage their own plan changes directly from their account dashboard.
