Apple lowered its App Store commission fees in mainland China following pressure from local regulators. The company reduced the standard rate for in-app purchases and paid applications from 30% to 25%. Apple is implementing the new fee structure on Sunday alongside an additional rate drop for small businesses. State media is estimating that the policy change is saving Chinese software creators more than 6 billion yuan annually.
