Anthropic opened a Seoul office on Wednesday to strengthen its presence in Korea’s AI scene, as Claude gains ground among the country’s biggest companies. Naver rolled out Claude Code across its entire engineering unit, the largest enterprise deployment in Asia, while Nexon, LG CNS, and Samsung SDS have brought Claude tools to their developers and staff. International managing director Chris Ciauri said company revenue jumped from $9B in late 2025 to $47B in recent weeks and expects similar growth in Korea. Officials declined to comment on U.S. export controls that have barred Korean institutions from Anthropic’s Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models, restrictions the Washington Post tied to worries about a Korean telecom’s reported China links.
