Anthropic has agreed terms on a $30B fundraising round that would value the AI startup at $900B, with the deal expected to close as soon as this month and surpassing rival OpenAI's most recent $852B valuation. Dragoneer, Greenoaks, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter Capital will jointly lead the round at a $900B pre-money valuation with each expected to contribute at least $2B, three of whom have prior ties to OpenAI. The deal comes just three months after Anthropic raised $30B at a $350B valuation in February, and the company's annualized revenue is on track to exceed $45B, up roughly 5x from the $9B pace recorded at the close of last year, with a large portion of revenue growth driven by AI coding tools including Claude Code.
