Amazon has begun rolling out “Story So Far,” an AI feature that recaps a book's key characters and plot points so readers can pick back up after a long break, to Kindle devices and the iOS Kindle app. Built as an extension of the existing Recap feature, it works like a “Previously on…” segment for books and is available to US customers across thousands of English titles, both purchased and borrowed, though it can carry spoiler warnings and isn't supported on every title or older device. The Android app isn't getting it yet, and Amazon is pitching it as a way to coax readers back into books they've abandoned.
