Amazon raised €14.5 billion in its first-ever euro bond offering, the largest corporate deal ever in that currency, after upsizing from an initial €10 billion target on the back of €27.9 billion in investor orders across eight tranches with maturities ranging from two to 38 years. The euro deal followed an 11-part dollar offering earlier in the week that raised $37 billion, with the combined raise part of Amazon’s plan to invest approximately $200 billion in data centers, chips, and AI infrastructure in 2026. The sale is the latest in a string of jumbo bond offerings from hyperscalers including Alphabet and Microsoft, which alongside Amazon and Meta have collectively forecast roughly $650 billion in capital expenditures this year.
