Amazon announced plans to invest more than €15B in France between 2026 and 2028, marking its largest investment in the country to date and creating more than 7,000 permanent jobs across the country. The investment covers infrastructure spending and operating expenses including the construction of new logistics centres, investments in the existing network, and the development of cloud and AI capabilities, with job creation beginning in 2026 through the upcoming opening of distribution centres in Illiers-Combray, Beauvais, Colombier-Saugnieu, and a 2027 launch in Ensisheim. Amazon delivered over 170M items same-day or next-day to Prime members in France in 2025, with Prime members saving approximately €140 on average through fast, free deliveries. Amazon has been France's leading net direct job creator since 2010, with more than 25,000 permanent employees, support for over 100,000 total jobs, and over €30B invested in the country since 2010.
