Amazon plans to initiate a second round of layoffs next week as part of a broader strategy to reduce its corporate workforce by 30,000 employees. The upcoming reductions target staff within Amazon Web Services, retail, Prime Video, and human resources divisions. CEO Andy Jassy cites the need to reduce bureaucratic layers as the primary driver for the move, which follows 14,000 earlier dismissals in October.
