Manus, which builds AI agents that write research reports and put together slide decks, is in talks to raise about $500M at a valuation near $4B, according to the Wall Street Journal. That is double the roughly $2B its founders and early backers paid to buy Meta’s stake back, a purchase that finished unwinding the acquisition Beijing blocked on national-security grounds and left Tencent as the largest outside shareholder. Battery maker CATL has discussed investing, and Tencent, HSG, and ZhenFund are weighing whether to join. Manus is also looking at a restructuring that would let the company, which operates mainly out of Singapore, list in Hong Kong, though those talks are early.
