Alphabet is set to raise $30 billion in its largest-ever US dollar bond sale to finance its aggressive artificial intelligence infrastructure plans. The company increased the size of the offering from $20 billion to meet investor demand. Alphabet is projecting up to $185 billion in capital expenditures this year as it expands data center capacity to meet demand. Executives warned that the pivot to AI is creating operational risks including potential cannibalization of its core search advertising revenue.
