Zip and InComm Payments are partnering to bring buy now, pay later installments to the gift card category, letting eligible users buy gift cards from retailers, dining, entertainment, and travel brands directly through the Zip app. Shoppers pick a card and denomination, then split the cost at checkout without leaving the app. Zip has 4.6 million active U.S. customers and 29,000 merchant partners domestically, with a global base of more than 6 million customers and 85,000+ merchants processing 93 million transactions annually. The Australia-based company also serves customers in New Zealand and recently launched ZMobile, a prepaid mobile plan built with TPG Telecom. InComm Payments, founded in 1992 and based in Atlanta, manages over 1 billion cards a year facilitating $65B in annual transaction volume across 525,000+ retail distribution points.
