X is reportedly violating U.S. sanctions by selling premium subscriptions to Iranian government officials. The Tech Transparency Project, a nonprofit watchdog, identified over two dozen accounts linked to the regime that displayed blue checkmarks requiring monthly payments. The platform removed some badges after a media inquiry, yet other sanctioned entities are continuing to use the paid features to boost their content.
