UNIT AI raised $12 million to expand deployments of its modular platform for e-commerce order fulfillment and returns, in a round co-led by Prologis Ventures, Dynamo Ventures, and Ground Up Ventures. Its pay-per-use system automates item-level inventory handling, order picking, and returns processing for retailers, brands, and 3PLs, and drops into existing distribution centers, regional hubs, and back-of-store sites without a facility redesign. UNIT says it can go live in as little as 1,000 square feet and pay for itself inside a year, and lists Barrett, ShipCalm, DaVinci, and Carter as customers 22 months in.
