The Trade Desk's Jeff Green was the highest-paid CEO among the top publicly traded adtech companies in 2025 with total compensation of $27.4M (up 306% from $6.8M the prior year), 53.8% higher than the median S&P 500 CEO compensation and 125x more than the median employee pay of $218,847 at The Trade Desk, according to a dataset of regulatory filings compiled by Equilar and reviewed by Adweek. AppLovin's Adam Foroughi came in second at nearly $13M (97x his median employee), followed by Criteo's Michael Komasinski, while the lower end of the spectrum included Viant's Timothy Vanderhook at $1.5M and Perion's Tal Jacobson at $1.8M. The Trade Desk's stock is down 61% over the last five years despite Green's ballooning pay package, with the company noting in its proxy statement that stock awards are granted to Green on a non-fixed schedule (one in 2023, none in 2024, one in 2025, and one expected in 2026).
