Texas Instruments acquires Silicon Labs for $7.5B

Texas Instruments agreed to acquire Silicon Laboratories, a wireless connectivity chipmaker, in an all-cash deal valued at $7.5 billion. The semiconductor giant is paying a 69% premium per share to expand its presence in the industrial and smart home markets. The transaction is marking the company's largest acquisition in over a decade as it is targeting a 2027 close.
