Stripe partners with Google to bring agentic checkout to Gemini and opens Link wallet to AI agents

Stripe enabled product purchases within Google's Gemini AI search and app, adding Google to its existing agentic commerce partnerships with Meta's Facebook, Microsoft's Copilot, and OpenAI's ChatGPT signed in September. The company also opened its Link consumer digital wallet to AI agents, letting users approve purchases and have the agent complete transactions on their behalf, and announced that US merchants can now accept stablecoins and Brazil's Pix instant payment system. Separately, Meta launched stablecoin payouts in Colombia and the Philippines through wallets on Solana and Polygon blockchains, with Stripe handling custody and licensing, and expects to expand the program to roughly 160 countries by year-end.
