Raptive starts an AI division and buys AlchemyAI to turn its creator and recipe content into grounding data for AI shopping

by | Jun 9, 2026 | Latest E-commerce News & Updates

Raptive, a creator-monetization and media company focused on premium food, family, and lifestyle publishers, is launching a new unit called Raptive Intelligence and acquiring AlchemyAI, a stealth agentic food-intelligence startup whose founder, John Roa, will become Raptive's chief AI officer. The idea is to license Raptive's creator expertise and consumer-intent data, starting with food, to AI platforms, CPGs, grocers, and retailers that need authoritative content to ground AI answers and power agentic product discovery. AlchemyAI brings a food knowledge graph mapping recipes, ingredients, products, substitutions, and shopping intent, which Raptive will pair with its scale to help AI assistants plan meals, recommend products, and build shopping baskets.
