Origin raises $30M Series A+ to give multinationals visibility into employee benefits spending

Origin, a London-based startup whose AI engine ingests fragmented benefits data from PDFs, insurance policies, and vendor platforms across dozens of languages into a single queryable system of record, raised $30M in an extended Series A+ led by Notion Capital, bringing its total raise over the past 12 months to more than $50M. The platform, built with anchor customers including Pfizer, Comcast, and BP, helps HR executives track benefits spending and usage across geographies, with one client expecting to save $75M annually after discovering it had no reliable visibility into its estimated $750M benefits spend. The new funding will go toward deeper integrations with Workday and Oracle PeopleSoft and expanded capabilities for brokers, consultants, and insurers.
