Orbio raises a $21M Series A to put AI agents in charge of hiring and managing frontline, deskless workers

Orbio, a Madrid-based startup, raised a $21M Series A led by Dawn Capital to expand AI agents that recruit, interview, onboard, and retain frontline workers in industries like retail, hospitality, healthcare, and logistics. The platform targets the roughly 2.7 billion deskless workers who lack corporate email and are reached through WhatsApp and phone rather than software logins, letting its agents contact candidates within seconds and run onboarding in hours. Founded in 2025 by ex-Amazon operator Sergi Bastardas with two repeat founders, Orbio already counts YUM! Brands, owner of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, and Poke House among customers moving from pilots to full deployment. The round brings its total funding to about $26M, and the new capital will fund international expansion and further development of its agent suite.
