NVentures, Nvidia's investment arm, led a $28M Series A in ThinkLabs and a $25M strategic round in Emerald AI, two startups building AI tools designed to reduce the strain that data centers place on the power grid. Toronto-based Radical Ventures also participated in the Emerald AI round. Data center energy consumption has become a critical pressure point as AI infrastructure buildout accelerates, drawing investor attention to grid optimization as a growing bottleneck, according to the companies.
