Mollie has agreed to acquire GoCardless, creating a single European payments provider that combines card payments, local methods, and bank payments on one platform. The combined business will serve more than 350,000 merchants and process over $130 billion in annual payments, with a focus on cross-border expansion and recurring revenue use cases. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in mid-2026.
