Your AI Slop Bores Me, a fake AI chatbot site where humans answer queries from other humans, has drawn more than 25M unique visitors and nearly 280M total hits in roughly a month, according to its 17-year-old creator Mihir Maroju. Users submit requests for images or information and another person responds within a 75-second time limit, with tabs on the homepage labeled “human” and “larp as ai” making clear the responses are not machine-generated. San Francisco-based angel investor Brianne Kimmel told NPR that “humans pretending to be AI, that's great sketch comedy” but said it does not mean people will use the technology less.
