Lyft launches 60-day gas relief program for drivers offering up to 98 cents per gallon in savings

Lyft has introduced a temporary program running March 27 through May 26 that provides drivers additional cash back on gas purchases made with the Lyft Direct debit card, ranging from 1% for Gold and Platinum tier drivers to 2% for Elite tier drivers, plus 14 cents per gallon through Upside and the ability to redeem shop points for $5 off a fill-up. Combined savings are estimated between 23 and 47 cents per gallon for non-tiered drivers and up to 98 cents per gallon for Elite tier members. The move follows a similar program from DoorDash announced earlier this week offering Dashers up to $1.90 per gallon in savings, as the national average gas price has risen nearly $1 over the past month to approximately $3.88, according to AAA.
