J.Crew hired Stacey Levitt as executive vice president of eCommerce and digital experience, pulling her from Walmart where she spent eight years and most recently ran e-commerce for Walmart.com. Levitt confirmed the move in a LinkedIn post, saying she started at J.Crew this week and crediting Walmart with teaching her to innovate and operate at scale while staying focused on the customer. Her mandate at J.Crew is to help accelerate the business, and she pointed to the talent and creativity she encountered in her first week. J.Crew has experimented with digital retail formats before, including a virtual holiday store built on Obsess's immersive e-commerce platform in 2023.
