SpaceX has set a take-it-or-leave-it IPO price of $135 rather than the usual price range, aiming to raise a record sum of roughly $75B at a $1.77T market cap when trading begins Friday. In a break from the norm, SpaceX is targeting about 30% of the shares, roughly $22.5B, for retail investors through brokerages like Robinhood and Fidelity, far above the typical 5% to 10%. The valuation comes despite $18.7B in 2025 revenue and a $4.2B operating loss, which would make SpaceX the least profitable member of the trillion-dollar club it's joining, all controlled by Elon Musk.
