Google Wallet added live flight tracking to Android, showing gate changes, delays, and boarding notifications after adding a boarding pass

Google Wallet for Android launched a Live Updates feature that tracks flights directly from the home screen and notification bar after users add their boarding pass to the app, displaying an interactive tracker with estimated arrival times, gate information, and real-time notifications for gate changes, delays, and boarding calls. The feature activates automatically as the trip approaches and during transit, with no additional setup required beyond adding the boarding pass through a participating airline's app or website. Google Wallet boarding passes can also be used at airport scanners and TSA checkpoints alongside government IDs.
