Forage raises a $40M Series B to scale its SNAP and government-benefits payments infrastructure and new consumer app

Forage, a payments-infrastructure company that lets retailers accept government benefits like SNAP, WIC, and HSA/FSA dollars, has raised a $40M Series B led by Mouro Capital. Its technology now runs at more than 100,000 stores across all 50 states, including partners like Dollar General, Gopuff, DoorDash, and Uber Eats, in a benefits ecosystem long stuck on infrastructure that predates online shopping. The funding will scale that backend and a new free consumer app, launched in late 2025, that helps low-income shoppers check EBT balances in real time, find SNAP-accepting stores, and see which items qualify, with Forage aiming to reach a million families through it by the end of 2026.
