Experian launched a credit score app inside ChatGPT, the first of its kind in the UK, that uses aggregated and anonymized data to show users how typical credit scores compare across postcode areas and age groups, without exposing individual scores or affecting a user's credit rating. The tool is searchable via @Experian UK and serves as both a financial education resource and a subscriber acquisition funnel, directing users to sign up for their personalized Experian score when ready. The launch is strategically timed around a notable gap: 18-34-year-olds make up more than half of ChatGPT's user base but are among the least likely to have checked their credit score, and 92% of UK adults have low financial capability according to the FCA.
