Sellers on eBay's U.S. and Canada community forums have been reporting widespread shipping calculation errors over the past week, with estimated rates appearing significantly too low or too high during listing creation, weight and dimension fields in the listing form changing values on their own, and Canadian sellers losing access to discounted Canada Post Expedited rates. US sellers are holding off on completing listings out of fear buyers will be charged incorrect shipping, while Canadian sellers are seeing rates jump from roughly $12 to $18 or more on identical packages, with some also unable to use UPS due to false dimension-too-large errors. eBay has not issued any official response despite sellers tagging company employees across multiple forum threads for several days, leaving merchants without answers through regular support channels as well after eBay shut down two of its most popular social support options.
