eBay is offering U.S. buyers up to $50 in coupons on eBay Live and waiving vehicle listing fees in Motors through July 31, subsidizing both sides of two priority categories, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Buyers earn a $25-off coupon, usable twice on orders of $50 or more, by spending $10 on a livestream purchase before August 14, while vehicle sellers can list free as many times as they want and skip charges worth as much as $79 each. Motors rarely takes a final value fee on a vehicle sale, so the waiver wipes out nearly all the revenue eBay would collect on a basic listing. eBay's Enthusiast Buyer count has been stuck near 16M since late 2022, and Ryan Cohen has attacked the $2.4B it spends annually on sales and marketing as part of GameStop's rejected $56B bid.
