DoorDash announced an emergency relief program for U.S. delivery drivers to help offset rising fuel costs, offering weekly payments of $5 to $15 for drivers who log at least 125 miles per week on DoorDash orders, with the program running through April 26. National average retail gasoline prices have climbed more than 30% over the past month to nearly $4 a gallon, driven by crude oil supply disruptions stemming from the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. The company says eligible drivers could save up to $1.90 per gallon each week under the program.
