Anthropic will give UK banks access to its Mythos cybersecurity model within the week following talks with the FCA and NCSC

Anthropic's head of EMEA Pip White confirmed in a Bloomberg interview that UK banks will receive controlled access to Claude Mythos Preview within the coming week, following talks between the FCA, HM Treasury, and the National Cyber Security Centre about the potential risks the model poses to critical infrastructure. The release to UK financial institutions follows Anthropic's earlier rollout to select Wall Street firms after interventions by the U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve, and comes as the European Central Bank prepares for its own talks with eurozone banks about Mythos risks, with Germany's Bundesbank, BaFin, and the German Banking Association also raising concerns. Anthropic has claimed Mythos identified severe zero-day vulnerabilities in every major operating system and web browser, prompting the response from financial regulators on both sides of the Atlantic.
