Anthropic has tapped Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as lead underwriters on its IPO, with JPMorgan Chase also joining the deal, according to Bloomberg. The company has filed confidentially and is weighing a listing as soon as October, putting it in a direct race with OpenAI to be the first major AI lab to go public. Its latest funding round valued Anthropic at $965B, eclipsing OpenAI for the first time and ranking it among the largest private companies in the world. The move comes amid a broader AI-IPO rush, with SpaceX set to list as soon as June 12 and OpenAI also lining up banks for its own offering.
