Anthropic is hiring an “Applied AI Claude Evangelist” with an annual salary between $240,000 and $315,000 to work with startups, venture capitalists, and accelerators to help them adopt Anthropic's products. The role requires seven years of experience and a background as a technical founder or startup employee, with responsibilities including leading developer onboarding, creating demos and tutorials, designing hands-on technical sessions, and sharing feedback with the internal team. The “Claude Evangelist” is one of several new job titles emerging in the AI industry, alongside other unusual roles like Stripe's “Forward Deployed AI Accelerator” and OpenAI's new $10B Deployment Company, which will start with a foundation of roughly 150 forward deployed engineers from the acquisition of consulting firm Tomoro.
