Anthropic is expanding its London office to 158,000 square feet for up to 800 people as European demand for Claude grows

Anthropic secured 158,000 square feet of office space in London's Knowledge Quarter at Regent's Place, paving the way to grow its London headcount from over 200 to around 800 people, following a separate expansion announced last month in Dublin for an additional 200 employees. The expansion comes as Anthropic counts more than 300,000 enterprise customers and Claude Code has exceeded $2.5B in annualized revenue, more than doubling since the start of the year. Rival OpenAI is making a similar push in London, securing 88,500 square feet at Regent Quarter in King's Cross for more than 500 people, though it recently paused its broader Stargate UK infrastructure project citing regulation and energy costs.
