Amazon adds an AI tool to Alexa for Shopping that turns text prompts into custom print-on-demand merch designs

Amazon has launched a feature in Alexa for Shopping that lets US customers create custom merchandise by describing an idea in plain language and letting AI generate the artwork in seconds. Shoppers can type a prompt, refine the result by typing changes or tapping suggestions, and put the design on apparel like T-shirts and hoodies or drinkware like tumblers and water bottles, with more product types promised over time. Everything runs through Amazon's Merch on Demand print-on-demand service, so the design itself is free to make and customers pay only for what they order, with finished products shipping Prime-eligible. Sharing is built in too, letting a customer send a design to friends and family so the whole group can order the same item, which Amazon pitches for family reunions, team outings, and group-chat inside jokes.
